Mississippi Ghosts

inspired by the music of the almighty Down; bigger && stock credits here

haven't done it in a long time, so here it goes, some recommendations:

music: Dax Riggs. The man behind the great Acid Bath. After their end, he had two other bands, Agents of Oblivion (awesome!) and Deadboy and the Elephantman (haven't check this one yet), and then went solo. So far, two albuns, easily among the best i found recently: We Sing Only of Blood or Love and If This Is Hell, Then I'm Lucky (recorded originally with Deadboy, but released only this year, under his name);

movies: Mark Of The Devil and Let Sleeping Corpses Lie; this last one is probably one of the best zombie movies ever made. They may be not as ugly and decaying as the ones from Night or Dawn Of The Dead, the movie itself may be not as bloody and fucked up as Braindead or Evil Dead, but some of its (darkest) scenes scared me to death and, of course, made me love zombies even more. Also, the (very unknown) actors did a pretty good work on it!
Mark of the Devil is probably the most brutal, cruel and raw movie i've seen lately. It takes place in the 17th century, and follows the story of a witchfinder apprentice and his master. The torture scenes are incredible and it gives you a great ideia about how things worked at that time between the religious ones and the (not always) witches.

and yeah, that's it for now xxx

Hail The Fuckin' Leaf

better than i ever thought it would be \m/ \m/ \m/
these guys are gods, music gods, of that kind that is almost impossible to find nowadays;
the show lasted for more than two hours, with a killer setlist;
Bury Me In Smoke was fucking awesome, they put almost everyone from the road crew on stage playing with them;
Kirk looked and smiled at me a few times during the show;
they played a little of Skid Row's Youth Gone Wild with Dave Sabo on guitar;
when everyone thought the show was over, they came back and played Nothing In Return.
Nothing In Return. Live \m/ \m/ \m/

to make this even better, after a long wait, Kirk, Jimmy and Pepper left the building and us, the patient ones, got autographs and some quick chat with them;
and yes, as i had always heard, the are really nice people;

my neck hurts, my feet hurts, i'm still fucking tired, but, damn, it was worth it!
can't wait to see them again \m/ \m/

Butterfly

lots of lalalalala today!

1º. some new (old) photos brought back to life:

(my first black & white photo)

i just hope spring brings some more pretty flower photos. i love them =D

2º. old work finally out of the closet:

(click image for bigger && stock credits)

i know everyone has a girl jumping with a umbrella nowadays, but i was playing around and really liked the result, that's why it's here =]

3º. new music:

Cavalera Conspiracy - Inflikted

i've never been a big fan of the Cavalera brothers, but this album kicks ass \m/ Their first work together since 1996, and it sounds thrashy and dirty as the old Sepultura albums, what is great.

Kingdom Of Sorrow - Kingdom Of Sorrow

you join the vocalist of a kick ass hardcore band and the guitarist/ vocalist of 2 killer stoner/ sludge bands and you have Kingdom Of Sorrow.
Jamey Hasta, from Hatebreed, joined forces with the almighty Kirk Windstein, from Crowbar and Down, and the result is a fucking great album, with the usual killer guitar from the bearded chubby guy \m/

4º. what a hell of a movie!

Butterfly: A Grimm Love Story, based on the true story of a man who killed and ate a volunteer victim, it's simply amazing!

listening: Clutch
